岳 口 镇 简 介
岳口——缘因唐代诗人皮日休途经此地留下"行墙约物价,岸柳牵人裙"的诗句得名"约价口",后因南宋将领岳飞屯兵于此,改称"岳家口",简称"岳口",岳口镇为天门市重镇,地处江汉平原腹地,汉水之滨,是天门的南大门，至今有一千余年的历史，明清以来，人烟辐辏，商贾云集，经济繁盛，民风朴实，人才辈出，成为天、潜、沔三市边缘地区政治、经济、文化的中心,素有“小汉口”的美誉。被国家建设部列为500个小城镇建设试点单位，连续两届被省政府授予“楚天十佳明星乡镇”称号，被省体改委确定为小城镇综合改革试点单位。全镇国土面积130km2，辖3个街道居委会,51个行政村,总人口14万，其中城区面积4.8km2 ，城镇常住人口4.5万,耕地面积7.8万亩。
近来年，岳口镇按照“一主三化”的方针，解放思想，开拓创新，突出发展主题，改善发展环境，大力招商引资，强化“三农”基础，加快建设发展步伐，全镇国民经济保持了良好的发展势头。2003年，全镇共完成工农业总产值23.9亿元，社会商品零售总额达2.1亿元。
全镇现有工业企业88家，其中产值过亿元的1家，5000万元以上的4家，已形成了轻纺工业、医药化工、农副产品深加工三大支柱产业。稳健集团、成田制药、健康畜特已成为岳口经济发展的亮点。农业结构调整稳步推进，主导产业初具规模。全镇牲猪饲养量突破12万头,年出栏10万头;"双低"油菜种植面积5.5万亩，年总产量突破7000吨，创全国乡镇之最;优质棉种植面达35000亩，年产量子力学10万担,为全国的优质棉生产基地。岳口是一个发展前景广阔的新兴城镇，她不仅是发展经济的良好之地，也是人们生活的理想之地，更是投资环境优越之地。

风 土 人 情
(上篇)
自明清以来，岳口庙宇盛兴，梵宫宝殿、禅林古刹、会馆书院、楼阁塔亭遍布堤街上下，襄河南北，其殿阁之宏丽，在襄河沿线首屈一指，每年农历新春，外地来庙宇进香、朝拜的善男信女不绝于途，主要风景名胜，古迹遗址： “岳口十景”：有“沧浪渔唱”、“古刹晨钟”、“饯堤雁阵”、“江角听川”、“三湾雨帆”、“五澹云樵”、“倚园风风荷”、“鑑湖春柳”、“双关锁澜”、“桥亭卧波”。
“八大会馆”：春秋阁山、陕帮会馆,建于清乾隆六十年（1795年）,主体建筑为歇山顶飞檐斗拱宫殿,设有戏楼、钟鼓楼、凉厅、中殿、正殿、偏殿、走廊、水池、花台,面积3200平方米。山门、扁镌《千古丈夫》及楹联均为当朝状元题字，古相遵劲，异彩夺目。殿阁建筑宏丽，气势雄伟壮观，评为八大会馆之首。俗谓“春秋阁上得画”。解放后改建成人民剧场。
瑞庆宫 咸武帮会馆，又称九宫庙，建于乾隆三十八年，市县有戏楼、凉厅、钟鼓楼、中殿、水池、花台，建筑面积3000平方米。解放后改建成管理段。
万寿宫 江西帮会馆，建于乾隆二十八年，设有前堂、中堂、正殿、偏殿，面积3200平方米，1939年被日军拆毁。遗址在生资仓库内。
天后宫 福建会馆，建于清道光七年，设有戏楼、紫台、正殿、大厅、庭园。园内广栽古藤葡萄，青年男女多爱在此游玩。建筑面积1600平方米。1939年被日军拆毁前部。1951年改修成岳口师范中学。
武圣庙 本帮会馆，建于清乾隆十三年（1748年），前设戏楼（名“幻铎”），两边紫台，中为凉厅，左右鼓楼，中大殿、走廊、水池、花台、正殿、观花楼、荷花池、桥亭。大厅台阶多汉白玉雕刻，庭园花木扶苏，环境宽敞幽静，游人如织，面积1300平方米。1950年改建成岳口小学，后改成高中。
新安书院 安徽帮会馆，建于清乾隆二十八年，设门楼、正厅、偏厅、正殿、花园，园中古梅苍劲挺秀，盛开时香闻街巷。面积1020平方米。解放后改成派出所，财管所。
晴川书院 汉阳帮会馆，建于清乾隆二十年，前为门楼，中为花园，后为正殿，面积820平方米，1939年被日机炸毁前层，现为居民点。
湖震书院 江西帮会馆，建于清乾隆三十八年，设有门楼、凉台、前厅、偏厅、过道、水池、花台、后厅，面积2800平方米。光绪四年（1878年）迎思寺堤段溃口，随之冲毁。
(下篇)
护国寺 建于明万历十八年(1590年),设天王殿、大雄宝殿、世故藏经楼、玉佛楼、十八罗汉堂、卧佛堂等，面积1200平方米。玉佛坐像晶莹灿烂,罗汉塑像千姿百态，泥金卧佛悠然自若。屡经战火。年久失修,部分倒塌。解放初因堤防建设而拆毁成红卫粮库。
清华寺 建于明季,设天王殿、大雄宝殿、罗汉堂、大佛堂、客厅、塔园等,庙基十亩,田产三十亩,为岳口最大的古寺,与沙市章华寺、汉阳归元寺齐名,向系传戒禅林.门外古柳浓荫,荷塘环绕,鸟语梵钟,恬静清幽。方园百里内烧香游庙者络绎不绝。1939年日军占岳曾设为医院。解放后，因殿宇倾圮拆建，遗址在石油库右侧。 建于乾隆年间的寺庙还有杨泗庙、水府庙、真君庙、三义庙、钟馗庙、慧觉寺、迎恩寺、福寿寺、太平寺、雷祖殿等，均倾圮拆毁或改建成民舍。
园林宝塔：名胜古迹，园林建筑有沧浪亭（建于清顺治年间）、桥亭、宝塔、荟真楼、熊氏花园（倚园别墅）等。沧浪亭为一组楼阁轩榭齐全的古建筑，濒临襄河，岸柳拂风，渔舟唱晚，风景如画。熊氏花园位于荷花潭，占地20余亩，澹溪名花，山石玲珑，景致清幽。内一淡绿石笋，拱立奇突，高约两米，镌日“玉笋”；“宋宣和壬寅十一月”,有书画家米芾诗人范成大题词,因战乱水患及堤防扩建而毁坏殆尽。为发展旅游，1999年在堤滩恢复建荟真楼（六角亭）。楼高五层,飞檐翘角,雄峻高耸，为在南第风景。
岳口物华天宝，人文荟萃，古今豪杰，盛誉海内。岳口踞天、潜、仙三市水陆要津，战略地位显要，是历代家必争之地。清康熙六年（1667），安陆府在岳口建广运南漕仓，设收粮公所。康熙四十八年起，天门县丞衙门移置岳口，并驻防水师营。辛亥革命后，改为县佐衙门（知丞署）。在中国现代史上，太平军曾三进岳家口，以岳口为江汉大本营，咸丰五年（1855年），燕王秦日纲部在此击溃来犯的荆州清兵，阵斩清荆州都统贵升；汉水一战，清兵被杀死，溺死772人。1911年辛亥革命,刘英义军据镇扼守汉江中下流，阻击清巡防营；挺进襄南，次第光复潜江，监利，公安等县；为武昌军政府解除了西顾之忧。1913年6月，章裕昆响应孙中山“二次革命”,在岳口以“湖北讨袁军先锋”名义宣布独立，进军武汉讨袁。1917年，护法军第一路司令梁瑞堂进驻岳口举义。1927年6月,武汉国民政府派第二军政治部主任李富春率部攻克岳口，击溃了川军的叛乱骚扰。1930年，国民堂第十军徐源泉设军部于岳口武圣庙，设飞机场于金家湾，重兵围剿洪湖苏区。贺龙将军指挥的红二军团、红三军先后两次攻占岳口,开辟了襄北根据地。抗日战争中,日军盘据岳口，扫荡南北抗日武装,1941年，李先念、陈少敏曾来岳口西北农村，指挥新车军抗战。解放战争中，国民党白崇禧所部重兵驻防岳口，1947年12月，李人林将军江汉军区部队挺进玫克岳口，南下解放潜江江城。
岳口镇历史名人有誉为“楚四家”的清代诗人刘天民（1791-1849），著有《云中集》、《莘农长短句》。诗人张其英（1788-1855），著有《澄远堂文集0、《角山诗抄》；才名传播江汉。有为民奏本伸冤遭害的清翰林院编写修、浙江道监察御使罗家彦（1786-1832）。有居官清廉，以德化人，曾任广西阳朔县知事，上任后“裁陋规，除积弊，汰差役，免罚款”，“改革吏治，清除弊政，开办学堂，振兴实业”，其《德政碑》至今碧莲峰的书法家金焕模（1876-1959）。国内名人有曾任鄂豫边区行政公署副主席、湖北省人民法院院长的涂云庵（1885-1957）。在历任南疆军区 司令员、陕西省军区司令员（授少将军衔）的邱衍汉（1943- ），外交部部长助理张业遂（1953— ）等。在学术文化界名人有国内遗传学研究权威、湖南省医学教授卢惠霖（1900- ）。湖北汉剧名家、任武汉戏剧研究所所长的傅心一（1888—1958）。湖北工艺美术大师、著名雕塑家、省美术学院教授刘政德（1936— ）等。在台人士有谭鹏（1908— ）,历任台湾高射炮指挥官基隆要塞司令、陆军炮兵学校校长、陆军司令部中将副司令.孙午南（1921—1997）,历任台南市《中华日报》社长、《台湾时报》社长。卢光舜（1918-1979），历任台湾荣民攻守副院长，台湾外科医学会理事长。香港人士有施肇华（1914-1989），历任国民党军上校团长，创办有施施国际贸易公司、森源公司、俊龙公司、博龙公司。吴志炎（1924- ）,历任香港中文大学、美国阿拿巴大学、新加坡大学教授、台湾东吴大学经济系主任兼台湾经济研究所副所长等职。

华族各姓之郡望
　　华族的住屋，尤其乡村早期建筑的锌板独立屋，在大门上，常悬有
“西河”、“颖川”、“太原”或“南阳”二字。这是各姓的郡望。表
示这屋主人是林姓、陈姓、王姓、或叶姓的。这郡望，亦写在祠堂的大
灯上；婚礼的大红灯，丧礼的孝灯，也写上郡望，所以俗谓之为“大灯
号”。
　　所谓郡望，取自该族祖先受封之地的地名，或是显赫祖先住过的地
名。在《百家姓》所列，每个姓都有郡望。新加坡有不少氏族公会，即
以郡望为会名。了解各姓的郡望，则可以明白这些用郡望为会名者，系
属某姓同宗所组织者。现在我们介绍新加坡二百九十六个姓氏所有之郡
望。
　　有些姓，有好几个的郡望。如黄姓，最早期最通用者为“江夏”；
福建肖山公派下，用“燕山”；泉州开元四安公派下用“紫云”。这在
各姓组织中，我们分别加以介绍。下列各郡望，为最通用者。很多郡望，
为多个姓氏所共用者。郡望相同，证明数百年前，或数千年前，那几家
是同住过那个地方，或同出一宗。

新加坡华人有近三百个姓氏
　　新加坡人口普查，乃以英文拼音为根据。没有办法查出华族姓氏
数目。尤其华族的英文拼音，一姓之中，因方言之不同，而拼出好多
音，更无法统计。
　　加上一部分只受英文教育者，只知其英文名字，已不知其宗族是
什么。故无法从人口普查得出统计。
　　我们从华文电话簿及各会馆会员名录中，加以搜录，发现新加坡
华族姓氏，只有二百九十八个而已。
